The Canyon That is Grand
If I had to choose one trail or running adventure to share, it would be the most spectacular hole in the ground that is just a short drive from my doorstep. I consistently struggle to find words to describe the beauty that the Grand Canyon holds and the deep emotion that it evokes every time I get the courage to drop below the rim. Relentless switchbacks spiral down through layers of sandstone, shale and limestone to the Colorado river ripping through the floor of the Canyon. It’s just mind blowing, captivating, terrifying, inspiring and extremely challenging.

Below is a short video from my friend Ethan Newberry (The Ginger Runner) documenting his first run in the Canyon. Our route was just a short drop down Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gardens and back and shows just a tiny sliver of what the Canyon has to offer.
